Nobody wants to be obese and life can be very difficult for those who are. Unfortunately some people find themselves to be excessively large and overweight and take the decision to undergo gastric bypass surgery to lose weight. Most people who require gastric bypass surgery do so in an effort to save their lives. Knowing what other people think after they ave had gastric bypass procedures carried out is so helpful for those who are undecided about it.

One problem that obese people face is the issue of mobility. Even the simplest of tasks like getting out of bed becomes difficult when someone gets excessively overweight. For these individuals the idea of joining a local gastric bypass support group may seem impossible. However, not all groups require the person to attend in person and the Internet offers many helpful resources to people who working on changing their weight. Gastric bypass surgery support groups will be available to a lot of these people.

By searching online you will be able to find plenty of these gastric bypass support groups. The aims and intentions of gastric bypass support groups are always the same and that is to give support and encouragement to others. Other people who are facing the same surgery or have already successfully lost weight are looking for and offering support. So just imagine how reassuring it can be for someone about to have the surgery if they can communicate with someone who has reached their goal weight.

Forums are the most common way these groups are set up and you can visit anytime to read what has been said. These types of gastric bypass support groups are perfect for people who aren’t comfortable posting online. They can read all the comments made and the questions asked when they visit the site. In many cases there are moderators on these gastric bypass support groups who have experience with the surgery. Their comments can provide insight into what can be expected during and following surgery.

Other sites are geared towards online chats. If you want a one to one conversation you will find this is a great format for you. Many online gastric bypass support groups have weekly or monthly scheduled chats for established and new members. By logging in to a chat session you can read what others are saying and join in with the conversation.

One point of view often heard is that it is an easy option to go for surgery to lose weight. People who have done it will say otherwise. Having someone you can talk to about everything involved makes it a less daunting step to take. Online gastric bypass surgery support groups can lend a helping hand to anyone either considering the surgery or those who’ve already done it.

Some of the words that I’ve seen used to describe iJoy massage chairs are…

different,

bold,

stylish, and

ugly.

If you want to add something very unique to wake up your living room while receiving on demand massages, an iJoy chair may be just what you need.

With catchy colors like red, sage and camel, when I first laid eyes on the contemporary designs of iJoy massage chairs, I said to myself “wow, those are unique.”

Whether you find them attractive or just plain hideous, iJoy massage chairs are without a doubt the “purple cows” in the industry in terms of their design. They definitely stick out from other brands in the industry.

Common iJoy Robotic Massage Chair Features

iJoy’s robotic massage system is supposed to replicate a human-like massage.

There are four major professional massage techniques used in each iJoy chair:

• rolling
• kneading
• compression
• percussion

You have the ability to choose a program based on your own personal preferences. Three dimensional movements are utilized to follow the contour of your spine during your massage.

You can choose from one of three different 15 minute programs:

1. Full Back- massages your entire back
2. Upper Back – receive upper back treatment
3. Lower Back – concentrates on your lower back

Each session will combine all four major massage techniques (rolling, kneading, compression, percussion).

iJoy Robotic Massage Chair Models

There are plenty of iJoy models to choose from…

• iJoy 100
• iJoy 130
• iJoy 173
• iJoy 170
• iJoy 300
• iJoy 320
• iJoy 550

The iJoy 100 massage chair, 130, 170, and 173 models are basically the same but they vary a little in size and design.

The iJoy 300 includes a power recline feature and costs a little bit more than the other models which are manual recline.

The iJoy 320 has a calf and foot massager integrated and is the more expensive model. A foot and calf massager is sold separately for the other models.

The iJoy 550 allows gives you freedom to swivel to the left or right.

Which healthy living tips are you following?

Illness and disease cannot invade the body when it is in a pH-balanced environment, and the immune system is strong. When body pH is acidic and your immune system weak, your body is more susceptible to illness or disease. There are other times when God permits sickness and disease to come our way, but many times it is a result of the bad choices (many in ignorance) we make.

One way to experience great health is by consistently following these healthy living tips.

Hydrate Yourself with Alkaline Ionized Water

Every function inside the body is regulated by and depends on water. While water is certainly not an absolute cure-all, we must recognize it as the primary ingredient to every preventive and healing process inside the body. Water must be available to carry vital elements, oxygen, hormones, and chemical messengers to all parts of the body. An increased intake of alkaline water will greatly enhance digestion, nutrient absorption, skin hydration, detoxification and virtually every aspect of better health! So many common ailments and illnesses can be prevented and greatly reduced by an increased intake of healthy water. Headaches, hypertension, back pain, arthritis, ulcers, asthma, morning sickness, fatigue and metabolism can all benefit (and in many cases be prevented) by regulating the body’s natural fluid levels.

Clean out the Toxins in Your Body

Total body cleansing (which may include your colon, liver, kidney, and gallbladder) is essential to vibrant health. Our bodies need to properly eliminate the toxic build up that has formed in our intestines (colon), which may lead to sickness and disease. By being free of toxic build up our body organs and tissues can function optimally and also help our bodies to receive the essential nutrients our bodies need.

Healthy Relationship With Your Creator God

Many who desire great physical health do not realize that if you want great physical health, you need to also have good spiritual health. Our spiritual and physical health are linked together. Sins like gluttony, adultery, or bitterness not only affect your spiritual health, but will hurt your physical health as well. You can practice all the previous tips above, but if your relationship with God is not where it should be, then you will never be completely healthy.

To enjoy optimal health, knowing these healthy living tips is a start and will lead to consistent vitality. But, you must take responsibility for your own health and apply these tips before you start experiencing any symptoms. It may include many lifestyle changes, but I am sure you will agree, great health is always worth it!

Tennis Elbow, the common name for elbow pain originating on the outside, or lateral side, of the elbow occurs when one or more tendons of the forearm muscles become irritated or inflamed. These tendons join to the bony protuberance near the elbow joint, known as the lateral epicondyle, hence the medical name, “lateral epicondylitis,” meaning inflammation of the epicondyle. If the condition is located on the inside, or medial side, of the elbow it is generally referred to as Golfer’s Elbow or medial epicondylitis. This, though, is not as widespread as lateral epicondylitis.

There are a number of reasons for epicondylitis – not just tennis and golf – as any activity or sport that necessitates repetitive gripping of objects can result in this affliction. Many people develop “tennis” or “golfer’s” elbow from other activities such as prolonged carrying of heavy bags, knitting, chopping food, and/or computer work using inappropriate wrist and arm posture. With sports, the problem arises when an individual, who is new to a specific game, uses an awkward technique, experiments with new rackets or clubs, or extends the intensity or duration of exercise without effective preparation.

Epicondylitis can sometimes start farther up the arm or even in the neck. The nerves that control the forearm muscles may become inflamed as the result of a disc condition or spinal subluxation, thereby producing tense muscles and inserting undue strain on the tendon attachment(s). In these circumstances, it predisposes someone to elbow pain from any of the above-mentioned causes. If no treatment is given, joints of the elbow can become subluxated further, and even arthritis can be a complication of the condition. Assessment and care by a qualified chiropractor, such as your Mount Laurel Chiropractor can remedy the affliction and eliminate future complications.

Epicondylitis is a condition that rarely resolves of its own accord and so requires proper health management. A qualified professional such as a chiropractor can determine the exact cause of the problem and initiate the proper care and treatment. This might include modalities such as ultrasound, electro-therapy, massage, hot and cold therapies, bracing, and home stretching and exercises. Mount Laurel Chiropractic care has proved, time and time again, to be extraordinarily successful in the most comprehensive management of this affliction.

It is fascinating to point out something that family members who have been negatively affected by the alcohol addiction of another family member plainly do not realize. It appears that by shielding the alcohol dependent individual with lies and deceit to those outside the family, these well-intentioned family members have actually created a condition that makes it easier for the alcohol addicted person to persist and press forward with his or her harmful, destructive style of life.

Without a doubt, instead of helping the alcoholic and themselves, these family members have in reality become enablers who have mistakenly helped deteriorate the alcohol dependent person’s drinking problem even further.

Perhaps the real downside of this is that the alcohol addicted individual will continue drinking in an excessive and irresponsible manner and go through a variety of “alcohol side effects.” Some of these side effects include legal issues (such as getting arrested for one or more DUIs), employment difficulties, considerable financial problems, poor health, diminished mental functioning, and deteriorating relationships.

The Chances of a Relapse are Real

According to the research findings and statistics on alcohol addiction, another key alcohol dependency issue involves alcohol relapses. Relapses take place when an alcohol addicted individual has effectively undergone alcoholism therapy and then resorts to drinking a number of weeks or months later. At first glance, this situation seems contradictory to sound thinking and appears to be so improbable that it forces a person to question why anyone who has gone through the dejection of alcohol addiction can return to drinking a short while after successful alcohol counseling and in turn after attaining sobriety. There are, without a doubt, more than a few possible reasons for this.

It should be mentioned, then again that alcohol addiction research that has centered on the enduring effects of alcoholism has revealed that long after the alcohol dependent individual has stopped his or her drinking, critical alterations in the way in which the alcohol addicted individual’s brain works are still present. As a result, all a recovering alcohol addicted person has to do to involve himself or herself in behaviors that correspond with the modifications that have come about in the brain is to start drinking again.

The Need for A Radical Lifestyle Modification

There are even more reasons why numerous recovering alcoholics return to drinking a few weeks or a few months after reaching sobriety. In accordance to the alcohol addiction research literature, to make an effective recovery, the alcoholic needs new ways of acting and thinking in order to deal more successfully with demanding alcohol-related circumstances that will take place.

Conditions such as returning to the same alcohol addictive atmosphere or to the same geographic location; interacting once again with friends from the time when the alcohol addicted person was drinking irresponsibly; or familiar songs, smells, or activities—all of these situations can bring forth memories that can trigger psychological anxiety or push hot buttons that influence the recovering alcohol addicted individual to engage in abusive drinking once again. Unfortunately, all of these situations may not only work against long standing alcohol recovery for the alcohol addicted individual but they can also result in relapse and therefore cancel out one’s sobriety.

The Good News: There’s a Lot of Hope for a Lasting Recovery

In an attempt to “protect” the family alcohol addicted individual, family members can essentially cause unintended harm by enabling the negative drinking behavior of the alcohol addicted person.

The alcoholism research literature confirms the fact that most individuals who effectively complete alcohol rehabilitation experience at least one relapse. Alcohol dependent individuals and their family members need to know this so that they do not get down in the dumps or beleaguered when a relapse happens.

Fortunately, taking part in support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and follow-up treatment and education have resulted in more effective, ongoing alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction therapeutic results, have helped diminish alcohol relapses, and have helped recovering alcohol addicted persons achieve enduring alcohol recovery.

If you are just like a lot of other people, you are probably starting to understand the importance of watching what you put into your body in terms of the food you eat. Whether you are over weight or simply in search of a healthier lifestyle, there is no better way to get started then starting to pay attention to the nutritional facts that are listed on the food packages we buy all the time. Of course, not every single item in your kitchen is going to have nutritional facts listed right on the package but you will find that most do.

The best way to really know what you are putting into your body is to read the food nutrition facts. By really paying attention and seeing how many calories and fat grams you were eating on a daily basis compared to what you should be eating, you could end up a little shocked or taken back.

Since you weren’t watching your calories before, there is no shame in seeing how much you were actually eating. Though it may be confusing at first, in just a little time reading the nutritional facts labels will soon be natural.

Items Without Labels

The majority of the products you buy right now will come clearly labeled with their nutritional facts. The majority of your foods are processed and pre-packaged, since fresh foods do not require labels. There will always be some foods that do not have the nutritional facts listed on its packaging. Fresh produce will not have a label, either. Many people do not bother to read the nutritional facts before buying their food, but if you are growing more concerned you can search the Internet to find more information on what to look for with items that do not have labels.

There are many books which give nutritional information if your diet plan requires you to know certain details on the foods you pick, of course the Internet is always one click away as well.

Looking up every food you want to eat can quickly become tiring. You should consider if you mind this extra work when considering your diet plan. But, if you are not someone who wants to spend time researching nutritional facts, then look for a plan that does not require it.

When I was a sophomore in high school, I registered for a drug abuse class. At that time period, I did not realize that alcohol abuse in point of fact was a sub division of drug abuse. While taking this class and learning more about drug and alcohol abuse, I read a lot about Alcoholic Anonymous, their meetings, how their programs have twelve steps, and how successful the Alcoholics Anonymous recovery program has been for people all over the world. I also learned quite a bit about alcohol rehabilitation and the various alcohol rehab facilities that are habitually available to problem drinkers.

Some of the detrimental outcomes linked to alcoholism and alcohol abuse that I learned about in this class certainly startled me. The ruined lives and numerous problems experienced by most alcohol dependent people made me feel like I never wanted to drink alcohol when I became old enough. Stated briefly, I did not want to face the disaster and destruction that alcohol addicted individuals almost always go through.

Let this sink in for a moment. What fifteen-year-old teenager wants to face premature death due to his or her drinking behavior? What teenager wants to become so out-of-control regarding his or her drinking that drinking alcohol becomes the object of one’s life? What teenager wants to go to one of the local alcoholic rehabilitation centers to deal with alcohol-related issues before he or she becomes an adult?

What adolescent wants to experience alcohol withdrawals when he or she tries to quit drinking? Why would a person engage in drinking to such an extent that it would cause problems in every area of his or her life? Drinking later in life after a person has a career, a family, and develops personal responsibilities makes sense. But why would a young person want to sacrifice his or her education, employment, finances, and relationships for a life that centers on excessive drinking?

These issues were so important that I discussed some of them in class during the school year. What was absolutely astounding to me was the number of students who simply didn’t care about the dangerous effects of excessive drinking that I talked about. It was almost as if they couldn’t be troubled with the facts and how these effects can wreck their lives. For the first time in my life I started to appreciate a saying that my grandfather used to emphasize all through my adolesence: you can lead a horse to water but you can’t force it to drink.

Fitness nutrition is important for everyone to learn about so they can design their own health nutrition system that works with their individual life. Keep reading if you want to find out how to make your personalized health nutrition system.

Analyze Your Current Diet

Before you make any changes to your current diet, it’s a good idea to track everything you eat for a week just to get in touch with your current habits. Before starting your new health nutrition system it is helpful to start a food diary to keep track of your intake.

You will probably be surprised at just what you are putting into your body. Very few people are already eating a well balanced diet, so you are likely taking in most junk at the sacrifice of the nutritious foods your body needs.

Make the Right Changes

The next step is to actually go ahead and create your health nutrition system, keeping in mind that although the basics will remain the same, everyone is different. Instead of following someone else’s personal plan, remember that everyone has their own nutritional needs and your health nutrition system should be unique.

You want to plan your meals ahead of time to ensure the right nutritional balance, and to also curb your cravings for sugary and fattening snacks during the day.

Plan your meals for at least one week ahead, though some people actually plan a month or more ahead. Menu planning will not only help you get the most out of your health nutrition system, but it will make grocery shopping easy.

You may want to seek the help of a professional if you are still uncertain how to get yourself started on this. A nutritionist is probably your best bet as they will be able to analyze what you are eating right now and make suggestions for what nutrition you are lacking and need to add in.

It is remarkable to bring up something that family members who have been adversely affected by the alcoholism of another family member apparently do not know. It seems that by protecting the alcohol addicted person with lies and deceitfulness to those outside the family, these well-intentioned family members have basically created a circumstance that makes it easier for the alcoholic to persist and advance with his or her hurtful, devastating existence.

Indeed, instead of helping the alcoholic and themselves, these family members have in fact become enablers who have inadvertently helped worsen the alcohol addicted person’s drinking problem even further.

The Likelihood of a Relapse is Real

Another key alcohol dependency issue has to do with alcohol relapses. Relapses take place when an alcoholic has fruitfully gone through alcohol addiction rehabilitation and then returns to drinking a number of weeks or months later. At first glance, this situation flies in the face of rational thinking and appears to be so improbable that it forces an individual to wonder why anyone who has gone through the awfulness of alcohol addiction can return to drinking a short while after effective alcohol treatment and in turn after attaining sobriety. There are, of course, more than a few reasonable reasons for this.

It should be pointed out, nonetheless that alcohol dependency research that has centered on the long standing effects of alcohol addiction has shown that long after the alcohol addicted individual has discontinued his or her drinking, fundamental modifications in the way in which the alcohol addicted person’s brain works are still present. As a result, all a recovering alcohol addicted individual has to do to involve himself or herself in actions that correspond with the transformations that have occurred in the brain is to begin drinking once again.

The Necessity for An Important Lifestyle Transformation

There are even more reasons why quite a few recovering alcohol dependent individuals return to drinking a few weeks or a few months after reaching sobriety. In accordance to the alcohol addiction research literature, to make an effective recovery, the alcohol addicted individual needs new ways of reacting and thinking in order to deal more successfully with challenging alcohol-related circumstances that will take place.

Issues such as returning to the same alcohol addictive environment or to the same geographic location; interacting once again with friends from the time when the alcohol dependent person was drinking in a hazardous manner; or familiar songs, smells, or activities—all of these conditions can bring about memories that can prompt psychological stress or push hot buttons that influence the recovering alcohol dependent individual to engage in hazardous drinking once again. Unfortunately, all of these circumstances may not only get in the way of lasting alcohol recovery for the alcohol addicted individual but they can also lead to relapse and as a result short-circuit one’s alcohol recovery.

Conclusion

In an attempt to “protect” the family alcohol addicted person, family members can essentially cause inadvertent damage by enabling the negative drinking behavior of the alcoholic.

The substance abuse research literature demonstrates the fact that most people who successfully complete alcohol therapy go through at least one relapse. Alcohol dependent individuals and their family members need to know this so that they do not get dejected or beleaguered when a relapse takes place.

Luckily, involvement in support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and follow-up treatment and education have resulted in more productive, long lasting alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency rehab results, have helped reduce alcohol relapses, and have helped recovering alcoholics reach lasting alcohol recovery.
